Top 21 Horror Movies of 2008?

by MrHappyGoLucky on 2008.12.30

I recently viewed 3 lists which compiled the top 10 horror movies of 2008.

Bloody Disgusting
Film School Rejects
Suvudu

For the record, I’ve never heard of Suvudu, but found it while trying to find the Film School Rejects article. It seems to be a decent site, so I’ll trust the opinions listed there.

I’ve compiled the three lists into one list of 21 movies. The number after the movie title is the number of lists it appeared on. If a number doesn’t follow the movie, that movie appeared on only one list. Movies are rated by the number of lists they appeared on first and their IMDB rating second. You wouldn’t believe how much spare time I have.

I have The Orphanage and Cloverfield already, so I’ll probably watch those first. I would love to say that I would start at the top of the list and work my way down, but I’ve done this enough to know that I’ll end up watching them in the order they become available. Also, wouldn’t it suck to start with the best of the best and work my way down to the worst of the best?

Well, Teeth is pretty great, but I haven’t seen the others.

Correction, caught The Strangers. Sucked.

Are you sure Midnight Meat Train isn’t porn?

I had a chance to go see Midnight Meat Train at a midnight showing, but uh… yea. Knowing what I know now, I wish I would have went.

Probably going to get Teeth off of Xbox Live.

I can’t believe there were 21 horror movies made total in 2008. Further surprised that half of them weren’t part of the “Saw” franchise.
